This type of leather can maintain a new look for years if cared for properly. If you drop water onto the surface it will sit on the surface, not soak in and simply make the surface shiny.

Aniline Leather

Leather Care Products Aniline Leather has no protective finish, which makes it very hard to clean and maintain. Aniline is commonly brown in colour and the way it is dyed makes it appear more patch and rustic rather than a flat colour. If you drop water onto the surface it will soak into the leather causing a dark marks.

Suede Leather

Leather Care Products Suede Leather has no protective finish on it but is still quite easy to clean and is quite durable. Although this type of leather absorbs water, most spillages can be removed such as coffee & wine quite easily, but oil based products can be difficult to remove unless treated quickly.

Nubuck Leather

Leather Care Products Nubuck Leather is very similar to Suede. It has no protective finish but is still quite easy to clean and is quite durable. Although this type of leather absorbs water, most spillages can be removed quite easily if treated in time. If you run your finger across the surface in a zig zag stroke you will see it change colour.
